Hi! I’m currently a senior at Lower Merion High School. I love creating music with whatever I can from performing with the classical violin to playing the bass in my youth group praise team at church. I show my love for the sciences by taking advanced courses in math, biology, chemistry and physics and working as a high school intern at the cancer research lab while I express my more creative side in my writing and in musical art.

What I Do

My

experiences with a wide variety of sports and activities including volunteering at dental clinics, church outreach, and at the National Constitution Center has always helped me to develop my skills in adapting to new environments and communities. This is all because I live by the idea that every new person you meet is not only another connection you make but a way for yourself to improve by gaining new perspectives in life and adding onto your own character with a piece of them.

I

come from a Korean-American background at home and am very used to Korean culture, growing up in Seoul before moving to the U.S. I am excited and look forward to any chance to be introduced to new cultures and gain a greater understanding of the modern society’s mix of world cultures.

Some

hobbies I have include listening to all types of music, from classical, R&B, and even rap, taking part in anything competitive like rowing on my high school crew team, and even travelling. One of my goals is to visit every continent someday! (So far I’ve been to Asia, North America, and Europe)

"Unlike

a drop of water which loses its identity when it joins the ocean, man does not lose his being in the society in which he lives. Man's life is independent. He is born not for the development of the society alone, but for the development of his self.” - B. R. Ambedkar
